eyoungren macrumors Nehalem Apr 21, 2017 #3 Can someone tell me why unlock services and carriers insist on telling you that you have to restore your phone to complete the unlock? This hasn't been necessary since 2011 and even Apple has it on the bottom of the list in their support document on unlocking. Just put a different SIM in and go. Reactions: Mlrollin91 and Applejuiced
