Anyone else experiencing this issue? It was working just fine before the watch update. Now it doesn't work. Followed the Apple troubleshooting guide which basically says to turn off the feature on my macbook settings, restart, and then turn it back on again. That did absolutely nothing. Apple's documentation is an absolute joke. This has to be the 10th issue that I followed the official Apple troubleshooting guide and it did nothing.

I've not experienced any issues with it since WatchOS 10. I've unlocked three different Macs with a Series 7 just today - an M2 and two Intels.

In the past, I have periodically had trouble with the feature. You said you already tried turning it off, restarting the Mac and turning it back on again. That has worked for me in the past, but not always. Here's what else I'd try that has worked in the past:

Restart both the watch and the Mac and try again.

If it's still not working after that, turn the feature off on your Mac.
Then go into Keychain Access and search for "watch"
Delete everything that references Auto Unlock from both your login and iCloud keychains.
Restart both devices and then re-enable the feature.

After more messing around I figured out the solution. The watch needs to be restarted too. JFC. Why couldn't Apple add that to their documentation???

Hi!

I've got the same issue.

In my case, Auto Unlock worked fine until yesterday late, but since this morning don't work.

It's very rare 'cause it worked well for three days

OMG! It's really made by aliens… Suddenly, after launch, without anyone touching anything, Auto Unlock start to working. o_Oo_Oo_O

It's very frustrating. I've found Apple cross integration (i,.e.,, such as the unlock iphone, unlock mac, with watch) to be spotty at times.

Well… now, today, not working again… it appears working in Settings, but not works
