Apple Watch Series 3 LTE will not unlock my Mac. No problem with Series 2 watch.
Anyone else experiencing this?

You know, that Series 3 does this on High Sierra only.
Thats what my Mac told me - trying to activate it.

Yes, I have done all of the above and am on the latest versions of Watch and Mac OS. Not working. Apple appointment scheduled.

Mine S2 wasn't working when I finally activated it (unlock) after I upgraded the watch to OS4. It started working randomly after about a day or two and works flawlessly now.

I'm having an issue where every few days it stops working and have to reboot both the Mac and the watch. Its really annoying.

Not working for me as well. Cycles for a few seconds then requests that I type in my password.

Watch is a series 3 lte
Mac is a Mac mini

All running the latest version of the publicly released os.

Have you tried these steps ?

If so, try rebooting your watch. I had the same issue, the mac would say "unlocking with watch" and then revert back to password. It was resolved when I upgraded my watch to wOS4.1 and the watch rebooted.
