unlocked 3gs at 3.1.2(7D11) what can i update to

its been tough, and a long night - i finally selected restore to old settings and its fully updated to 4.3 !! no more cydia, no more unlock / jailbreak - the works with my original 02 card but not with the mrs vodaphone sim.

To get me out of this mess, would the phone work if i simply bought an 02 pay as you go sim for my wife???? - pls help one final time - many,many thanks

Wow, after all this help, tutorials and assistance you go and update to official 4.3? Some people should never attempt jailbreaking.
You can only use it on official carrier now. Either prepaid or postpaid.

I'm very grateful for all responses. I tried both Pois0n and pwnage tool and for whatever reason and after multiple efforts they failed. I am frustrated as the demos I followed were very basic - even I can't have gotten it wrong!

I then selected restore and pressed the option key at the same time expecting it to restore to where I was yesterday i.e 3.1.2 - dont know why it gone to 4.3?

I feel bad but hey what can I do now ......Thanks again though, I bought a free pay as you go sim from o2 for my mrs, at the end of the day, she's got the use of a great phone once more.

When you hit option+restore, did you choose the correct ipsw?

this is why I like to suggest that some people pay somebody. Some people are just better off that way. Any way TS wife appears happy guess that's what matters.
