So, an unlocked 3GS was updated from 5.1.1 to 6.0 and got bricked. No basebands, blobs or anything saved. Any ideas as of how to unbrick it? I'm guessing it's harder than just getting a SIM-card from the original carrier, restore it and re-unlock it?

If this has already been answered, I apologise in advance for being worthless at finding threads.

I know it's a little late but did you manage to get anywhere with your 3GS??

Bricked meaning it is unresponsive? If you can't put it in DFU mode you are SOL. If you can get to DFU mode you might be able to reload iOS 6 and jailbreak it (if it is the old baseband it is an untethered Jailbreak) and then unlock it with Cydia.

If you had it unlocked by using the ipad baseband and you updated to stock ios6.0 then you have a lot of work to do to get it back and unlocked again.
