Can you buy an Unlocked in the UK and then use it on a USA carrier. I have someone who could buy one for me in the UK and ship it to me, but I am wondering what is the downside to this?

only real downside is if it breaks apple US will not help you.

But would it work the same on AT&T or T-Mobile's network, or are there different restrictions in the UK and USA?
