hey you guys im kinda new to the jailbreak world, my question is im caught in a limbo should i buy the fully unlocked iphone,or could i purchase the att locked iphone 4s and unlock it myself

You cannot unlock a locked 4S and who knows if or when an unlock will be available.
Buy a factory unlocked if you want to be able to use it as a phone.

1+ by the time you buy at att iphone pay etf fees etc. buying a unlocked iphone with no contract ties makes way more sense. also you then no ties to a network and can shop networks. I don't believe the unlocked iphones are out yet. but Apple has said sometime this month. expect early demand to be high. 😉
