Unlocked iphone 5 at launch? (UK)

What's the likelihood of unlocked iPhone 5s being available on launch day in the UK? Anyone know if they were available with the 4 last year?

I need one to test a new app I'm developing pretty urgently, but I absolutely don't need an expensive contract to go with it...

The unlocked iPhone 4 was available from Apple stores on the launch day.

I am planning to buy one from the UK and have it shipped to Sweden if it is possible to get one unlocked. Is there a safer alternative than Borderlinx? In the fine print of the T&C for Borderlinx it says that the maximum compensation is $100 should it get lost / damaged etc.

I'm doing this as well and will try to order one as soon as pre-orders come online so I don't have to Queue up and instead have it delivered to me. 😀
