Since iPhone 5 is coming, I'd like to ask some questions about unlocked iPhone.

I'd like to buy iPhone from official Apple store, because the iPhone in my country is quite expensive (about 200$ more than the unlocked one) and also they don't offer iPhone in white. So, if I buy the unlocked one for 649$ (or whatever the price will be) will I be able to use whichever carrier in whichever country? Just put the SIM from the old one to the new?

Thanks for answers.

Yes, if you purchase an unlocked full price iphone from the Apple store in the US it will work with any carrier.

Just make sure you get a microsim and not a regular sim otherwise you'll have to go through the inconvenience of cutting the sim (not a big deal, but just an extra step).

Yeah, I know, I have a regular sim from older phones but I'll probably get a new one or just cut the current.

I saw that too, but I think I'd rather let some "professionals" to do that. 🙂
