    hey guys

i know what an unlocked iphone is ...

    though

    when you say its unlocked

is it something that has to do with software or hardware?

    i though it was hardware?

so i can just buy a locked one and unlock it using my pc ?

There are software unlocks available for both the iPhone and the iPhone 3G.

That depends on whether or not it was sold without a simlock.

If it wasn't, then yes, it will be re-locked. Of course you can always just use PwnageTool to apply a software unlock...

My spider sense tells me that we're rapidly moving into the realm of "things that you can learn following a two-second Google search"...
