Because I don’t see where it says wifi calling is supported on both sims

WiFi calling is supported with dual sims. Using Verizon and AT&T and both show WiFi calling

Surely an eSim isn’t going to require going to a shop! I understood that you just applied/registered online and received a code via email. You might as well use a physical Sim otherwise - if Apple gave us the option of course.

I’m sure that it will be online or carrier app but at the moment at least up til now, at&t currently makes you go to a store for an esim activation.

My issue is I can’t even use a Regular sim on my AT&T IUP Max from Verizon. The phone will not be registered as an iPhone on Verizon’s network and thus I wouldn’t be able to use my Apple Watch Series 3. Apple makes it difficult to switch out iPhones and the whole having to schedule an appointment for in store service is a pain in the butt.

The issue seems to be no IMEIs are registered with Verizon unless it’s a Verizon model. Stupid if you ask me. They are all the same model now

Good luck getting Apple to assist you in getting it fixed. They had me wanting to get new SIM card, downgrade to the latest stable build of iOS, clean install, diagnostic app, etc for them to say no assistance for you.

Verizon hates people starting service with Verizon who bring their own devices. You need to start service with either an older Verizon phone or buy one through them. Their employees can’t figure out why it won’t work either. Even if you put a SIM card from their Verizon phone.

I just talked to Verizon to add the imei Kamiquazi has in question and about 20 minutes later it was added and was recognized. As far as having a Verizon phone when starting service, it has never been an issue. Always unlocked. I see no point in buying from carriers. My .02

Congrats. Could never get any Verizon rep to figure out how to get an IUP iPhone onto Verizon’s network. Those phones are also supposed to be carrier free. The funny thing was that if you put an active Verizon SIM into it, the phone worked fine.

I just chatted online while logged into my account. I cited it has band 13 support and model A1921 has been tested and certified to work with Verizon and that I would like him to add it to Verizon’s database. He said that I was right and he would start the paperwork that could take 3-5 days. After 20 minutes, it was added and phone lost service until I went into the account and updated the imei and put in the SIM card back onto the account that was already in there. Should try again. It seemed painless. It was an iUP AT&T.
