Please be more descriptive. What tools did you use to unlock and jailbreak? Which country are you in? What operator is the phone from, and which are you trying to use?

Sometimes a simple rejailbreak can fix things like this but other than that I would try google.

We need to know:

1. The iPhone model
2. What software you used to unlock (ultrasn0w or blacksn0w)
3. Is it a tethered or untethered jailbreak (in the case of 3GS)

And finally, since u r on t-mobile, did u turn ur 3g off?
