I have an A1984 iPhone XR Model MT302LL/A and wanted to know if this was carrier unlocked or not? I got a report from an online service and wanted to understand this better. Can anyone explain this please? Thanks.

It appears to be unlocked. The only sure way to tell would be to try another carrier sim, like T-Mobile or AT&T. Verizon is now initially locking their phones until it is activated by the customer to prevent theft from stores.

Thanks for your response. I tried a carrier in UAE and it worked without a problem so yes unlocked I guess.
