unlocked sprint phone?

Hey guys- Im looking to get a new cell phone- i have verizon. I have been waiting for so long for any halfway decent phone.. I like the treo 755p. If i bought that phone online, and had it unlocked, since verizon and sprint are both cdma, will i be able to activate the phone for verizon?

No phones on CDMA networks cannot transfer from one carrier to another since the phones are not unlockable. You can buy phones online and get them activated but they have to be Sprint phones; so if Sprint does have the 755p you can't get it.

Technically, CDMA phones aren't "locked" like GSM ones are, but Verizon won't activate non-Verizion phones. I don't think any of the CDMA carriers will activate phones from other carriers.
