Trying to see if I can unlock my 4s and use it in asia with a prepaid micro sim.

I'm running on iOS 5.1.1 and baseband 2.0.12

Will the gevey sim work in this case?

Are there other options to unlocking the 4s and using it internationally?

[edit] I'm locked in to ATT

Check into Gevey Ultra S or your carrier for IMEI unlock (or grey market dealer unlock)

forgot to mention that I'm locked to AT&T.

I'm looking for an unlock that I can use with a pre-paid sim card overseas, that will give me data and voice.

ApplenBerry started offering IMEI unlocks. It's a bit expensive; $150.

I used these guys.. just ordered yesterday for 90$. They are located in the UK but they have great feedback from everyone. Mine is currently submitted and should be available within 6 hours says the status of my order.

horrible experience with that UK unlock

I've just had a horrible experience with that UK unlock outfit. On July 12 I ordered my unlock for Bell Canada, iPhone 4. It said it was in pre-order mode so I was billed 19 euros. I received an email saying I'd have to also provide a photo of the front of my AMEX card. My spidey senses went up and I was very uncomfortable doing this. I called AMEX and they told me, what I suspected: DO NOT send them that info/image. I then called the financial services provider that UK unlock uses, DALPAY, and they too told me that what was required was not necessary. About 10 days go by and my order status goes to "approx 24 hours" for the unlock. That was a week ago. I paid the remainder (89 Euros) and once again received notification that I'd need to send my AMEX image. I read a bit more and it said I could redact the numbers on the card. I did this, against my better judgement, and am still waiting, and waiting and waiting. They've billed my card, the 24 hours pending was still showing on my order status page. On this past Wednesday, I emailed them about the delay.(24 hours). They never answered me back, but now the status page has the "24 hours" missing. Instead it has: " 31 Jul 2012 19:30:03 - IMEI submitted to unlock server

Approximate Timeframe: (this is where 24 hours was originally) - please remember, that when considering timeframes, unlocks aren't processed at weekends.
Please see below if this timeframe has been exceeded."

I don't know if these guys are crooks are not, or perhaps we in North America have higher expectations of customer service than what the UK provides. I'm giving it 5 more days then will initiate charge-back action with AMEX (which told me I could - and for the record, AMEX have been great). UK unlock says on their web site that if "we" do that they will blacklist the iPhones. Well go ahead...I'm sure there are lawyers in the UK who might want to make some easy money.
    Rant over.
