Unlocking 5 GT/s ?

I've flashed three of my HD5770's and all of them are working on 2.5 GT/s. There seems to be many people running these card as 5 GT/s.

I was only able to get 5 GT/s by Crossfiring original Apple card with flashed one 😉

As I recall, there's a resistor on the PCB that needs to be removed. I think a search at Netkas may help you here.

Just looked at your posted link. And, yep, it's the resistor mod.

The answer is out there [for the 79x0 cards anyway].

It might be different to your cards.

Short story, it almost certainly isn't effecting you cards performance, so don't worry about it.

According to the linked thread, R17 needs to be removed.

There are no references to a 5770 in that thread so the resistor may be different.
