iPhone Unlocking ATT iPhone 3Gs on 6.0 (10A403) 05.16.07 baseband?

Hi I have a iPhone 3GS running 6.0 (10A403) with the 05.16.07 baseband and a serial of (xx939...) and would like to know if it's possible to unlock? I want to use it with MetroPCS. Please let me know if there's any way I can do this.

Two options:

An IMEI unlock from carrier who sold phone or aftermarket vendor
or
Flash the iPad baseband to phone, then downgrade the baseband to 5.13.xx to unlock with Ultrasn0w

I read I can't downgrade my baseband with the serial number I currently have. Has that changed? (939) Week 39 to be exact.

Any 3GS made prior to 28th week of 2011 can be flashed with iPad baseband.
