Unlocking ATT iPhone 5 help

I have an iPhone 5 that I need unlocked, I sent the request and it was approved, but i don't have the original sim in it so it won't unlock even when I restore it.

is there another way to unlock it without the phone with out the original sim?

Restore it through iTunes and activate with the current sim you're using. It'll work.
