I've been out of the jailbreaking/unlocking scene for a couple years now and I can't tell from google what is real and what is fake when it comes to unlocking. I have an iPhone 5 8.0.2 with Modem Firmware 7.03.00. Can anyone tell me if this is unlockable and if so, can you please direct me to a legitimate link where I can unlock it properly? Thanks.

There hasnt been any software JB unlocks for the iphone since 2010.
The last one was for the iphone 4 on ios 4.0.1 baseband version 01.59.00
With that said what carrier is your iphone 5 locked to?
There's a few other options such as a hardware gevey sim adapter unlock and also IMEI carrier unlocks.

What I would do is buy an imei unlock for it. It will only work on GSM carriers obviously.
Phone will be unlocked forever no matter how many times you restore or update its firmware it will be officially whitelisted on Apples servers.
Price ranges anywhere from $20-45 but its the better option of the 2.
The other one is a hardware gevey adapter that if you even update or restore your phone the unlock will be gone and you will have to keep buying new geveys if and when they are available for your ios and baseband version in order to continue to use your iphone.
