Anyone else having this issue?

Have a series 4 on 7.0.1. Have unpaired and repaired,

iPhone and Mac are both on the latest updates

since updating my watch, my MacBook doesn't unlock while wearing my watch, in the settings if I tick 'use to unlock...' It just spins and then says the below screenshot

any ideas?

Bump. Exactly same problem here. 2 Watches (S3 and S5) with this problem in fact. Gone thru most troubleshooting I can think of (short of erasing everything and starting from scratch) to no avail. Funny thing is Xcode can see and communicate with both Watches just fine. So this 'feature' from working half of the time in the past is now fully defunct for me. Nice.

Yep, not working for me either. And unfortunately the two suggested solutions didn't work for me either.

After doing the suggested fixes, I still have to uncheck and check the box in Security and Privacy occasionally. But I no longer get the "unable to communicate" error. A partial fix, anyway. If you can get beyond that "unable to communicate" error you are most of the way there.

Still no dice with any of those methods. I have also tried disabling Wi-Fi privacy in Watch and iPhone settings and switching to a different Wi-Fi network. Gonna try it again after next MacOS update/release as someone mentioned it has been fixed there supposedly.

Totally broken for me too. I have an AW 4, with latest OS (7.0.1), and it will not work with any of my current Macs (2020 iMac, 2020 13" MBPro, 2020 MBAir, 2019 16" MBPro all with the latest version of Catalina, 10.15.7). I have gone through the check list (2FA, Password, Wifi and BT connections, same Apple ID, Hand off set correctly etc. etc.) and nothing works, just indicates that it cannot communicate with the watch. Unpaired the watch and started again, all to no avail. Watch works fine with my iPhone 11 Pro. AW OS 7.0.1 and iPhone 14.0.1. The watch worked with previous version of watch OS and Catalina, so suspect Apple broke something in Watch OS 7/7.0.1 and/or a Cataline update.

As @wilberforce mentioned, please continue discussion in the existing thread for this.
