Unlocking the iPhone 3g

I don't really know too much on unlocking the iPhone 3g can someone explain to me how it works and does it void the warranty?
I greatly appreciate this.

I'm not quite sure if unlocking the iPhone 3G is possible at this point.
But, I'm sure that it will void the warranty (However, you can always do a restore...) .

As those sites point out, this unlock is for the 1st generation iPhone. There is no unlock yet for the 3G. I could be missing something here but I doubt it.

The only thing that MIGHT work right now for the 3G is a sim solution.
