Here’s a few of the features that Apple didn’t get around to mentioning during their Keynote. You can see all these listed on the slide below at the conclusion of the iOS 5 segment of the show. Which features are you looking forward to?

Hourly weather forecasts
Personal dictionary
Multitasking gestures
Emoji emoticons
Typing shortcuts
Wirelessly sync exchange tasks
Built-in Dictionary
FaceTime mid-call invitation alerts
Improved FaceTime video quality
Weather for your current location
Mass Configuration
VoiceOver action support
Real-time stock quotes
Wi-Fi sync to iTunes
Custom Vibration Patterns
Accessible input for mobility
LED Flash on incoming calls and alerts
Option to speak text selection
VoiceOver item chooser
Mail improved offline support
Set tones for voicemail, mail, and calender alerts
Smart Playlist sync for iTunes
iTunes Tone Store
Swipe to delete songs and playlists

I really hope there's some professional sounding tones in the Tone Store. 90% of what we have now is like a toddler's toy.

Emoji emoticons-eliminates the emoji app for me.
Typing shortcuts-maybe... don't know if I'd use them.
Built-in Dictionary-eliminates the dictionary app for me.
Wi-Fi sync to iTunes-should be really cool.
Custom Vibration Patterns-also this. I run mostly on vibrate, so that will be cool.
LED Flash on incoming calls and alerts-interesting... though how useful based on the location of the LED currently. Maybe a redesign on the next phone?
Mail improved offline support-hopefully "send when network available" prompt
Set tones for voicemail, mail, and calender alerts-cool
iTunes Tone Store-bleh

Can you customize (i.e. use a different one than what Apple provides) the sounds for email, text messages, etc? Please, please say it's true! This is the reason I did the jailbreak on my iPhone.

Has anyone with the iOS 5 beta tried this? Can you now DELETE songs directly on your device? That would GREATLY enhance the iCloud / iTunes Match functionality.

There are new tones and an options to buy more but not sure about your own. Can set for all separately

Yes, you can swipe and delete songs.

That would be really cool. I'm somewhat OCD with my music and I hate it when I buy something and I see a "purchased" playlist there.

Can anyone provide more detail about the bolded? Specifically:

Gestures: what does what? 3 finger swipe does..? Not all need to be listed, but some of the cooler ones plese

Mass Configuration: Aside from what that can already be configured in iOS 4..?

Vib. Patterns: How long can they last? What can they be applied to?

VO Item Chooser: Say what? (no pun intended, just want more info)

Smart Playlist: Can I create a SP within the Music app on my iPhone/iPad now?

Yes, you can swipe and delete songs.

Thanks. This is a great feature. :)

Curious how this all ties together. Questions:

1) If you delete songs from your iPhone, I asume it doesn't delete them from your main iTunes LIBRARY- Correct?

2) If you delete songs from your iPhone that are part of what normally gets synced to your iPhone from iTunes, does iTunes reload them onto your device next time you sync?

3) If you download songs that are normally NOT part of what you sync to your iPhone from iTunes, does iTunes delete the songs next time you sync?

This can get very confusing indeed.

cant wait to swipe and delete songs!!! I forget the songs I want to delete by the time I get home to a computer

I can't wait for the all the new notification stuff. Not just notification center but the possibility of custom text tones, non obtrusive alerts, custom vibration patterns, and using the led flash for notifications as well. It's going to be great.

There's a video at the bottom of the link that shows off the multitasking gestures.

I too am curious about the rest of these options though.
