UNMOUNTABLE_VOLUME error on Areca RAID

One of 4 of my drives in RAID 0 (on Areca ARC-1210 card) was having faulty cable. After replacing it my Windows 7 on BootCamp is still not booting displaying blue screen with UNMOUNTABLE_VOLUME.

I've booted Windows 7 install CD, installed drivers to Areca card, but it do not see my volume 😕

However under Mac OS Lion everything is working fine. Volume is ok, data is ok.

How to fix MBR on this array ?

From what information you've provided, the issue would be one of the following (order doesn't matter):

1. Bad OS installation
2. OS interaction (i.e. OS X did an over-write in the MBR)
3. The drivers used for Windows aren't the right ones
4. Or the file system used on the array isn't compatible with Windows

I gather that you've a single disk for both OS's (shared via Boot Camp), and you want both OS's able to access the array.

If this is the case, you'd want to use FAT32 IMO (works natively in either OS), as the file system translation applications don't work well from what I've seen (whether it's included in the OS, or 3rd party such as Paragon).
