unplugging this thing

After it syncs, it says "ok to disconnect"

but, it also gives me the option to eject with the little eject button.

I am scared to just yank it out of the dock when a phone call comes in.

But, is it safe to just unplug without manually ejecting first?

my nephew yanked the plug out of the computer yesterday when i went to the kitchen to get a glass of water and i wanted to throw him off the balcony lol dumb kid!
