Hello, I’m using this thread because I’m experiencing a terrible headache, and some days ago I got my first OLED iPhone.

I’m near the end of the returning window, and this past days I didn’t experience a headache like this one. However, I noticed that on a dark room, with the screen very dimmed, I experience a weird feeling on my eyes, like a tingling sensation, when looking at my 13 mini dimmed screen. Not painful but a weird, uncomfortable sensation. I don’t know if I’m suggesting myself because it’s a relatively subtle sensation.

Yesterday I ended up with a pretty bad headache as well, and I didn’t use the new iPhone a lot. Today, just like yesterday, I’ve been working on my Mac (with an external monitor) and with my iPad Pro. During maybe too much time. And yes, from time to time I took a look at my new iPhone 13’s screen. And I’ve ended up with an important headache.

At this point I’m not sure if my new iPhone 13 is the source of my headache and should return it ASAP, or it’s just that I’ve been looking at my screens too much time, and I don’t have that PMW sensitive. I’m not sure but I’m running out of time to clarify it.

The alternative would be the iPhone SE 3 but honestly, with that old design, it doesn’t appeal me too much.

Any idea on how to confirm that it’s a PMW related issue, or it’s just a headache from working too much on my screens?

This sounds like a PWM headache.

You could confirm by referencing your experiences using a LCD screen. If you haven’t had that experience with another iPhone before it is more than likely PWM sensitivity.

While not quite as exceptional and notably less exciting, the third-generation iPhone SE isn’t bad by any means.
