After trying both the OG Apple Watch Ultra 2 and the Black Apple Watch Ultra 2, each with their appropriate Milanese loops, I prefer the OG Apple Watch Ultra 2 with the Titanium/Silver Milanese loop over the black one.
I think we are seeing greater interest in the black model because it's new. If Apple had released both the natural and black Ultras at the same time, I think it'd be around 50/50 which was more preferred.
The black Ultra 2 with the black Ocean band is the only Ultra that fits me. The black color, along with the lug-less design of the Ocean band, are the only way I can get this thing on my skinny wrists.
Now if only this watch wasn't riddled with frustrations when I try to use it as more than a passive watch/fitness tracker lol

Why assume that’s an unpopular opinion😊. I’ve got the natural Ultra 2…love it. I‘m definitely going to pick up the new Milanese loop for it. I’ve gotta say…the black on black looks awesome. But, I love the look of the Natural U2 with the new Titanium Milanese too. They both look great!
IMO the best black Ultra 2 combination is the black ocean band. It looks like a rugged watch through and through that way. It also looks good with the various alpine loops (including tan). I agree with the OP that the natural titanium watch / Milanese loop go together better.
I actually really like the styling of the ultra and the flat display, so this year I’m having a bit of a “pro max” year now that there’s a combo that fits my wrists.
