If you order an iPad Pro 11" 64GB Wifi model today, it will deliver to the continental US at around March 31st. I've been wondering whether that delay is representative of coronavirus/supply chain impact or if it reflects these impending newer models. Hopefully it's the latter!
The 13" model with cellular is even worse, like well into April. I think it's a combination of both scenarios tbh

That looks like a copy of iPad Pro :)

Yeah, but we are talking about Apple here. Also, Samsung is making the displays themselves so they probably can do it. Do we know how good the display is compared to the one in iPad?
Anyway, if we got OLED I'm sure we would also get $300-500 more. Its already expensive as it is if you go for the 12.9" model so this would make it worse.

microLED is where we should focus but that is still years away :)

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 , OLED display ... priced lower than most iPad Pro models.

After Apple's margin markup it would be substantially more. But yes if thrown in "ProMotion" , higher color gamut , OLED it would also creep up. But the base OLED tech , Apple is already in the high base cost zone.

Apple isn't likely to go there (to OLED) though. If they are throwing a more expensive camera bill of materials at the device then they will probably also not hugely change the screen tech to something substantively more expensive at the same time. They would have already 'spent' the price decrease on the more mature components.

What were the other unreleased ones in the database again?

I seem to remember not all 7 from last year were released, but I could be mistaken.
Since nobody answered, I'll answer my own question.

A2200 - iPad 7 WiFi + Cellular (US/Canada)
A2232 - iPad 7 WiFi

A2068 - ?
A2197 - iPad 7 WiFi
A2198 - iPad 7 WiFi + Cellular (Global)
A2228 - ?
A2230 - ?

There is also another one not mentioned in those articles: A2199 - WiFi + Cellular (China)

The new one is A2229, which is sequential between two of the other unreleased models, A2228 and A2230.

That gives us a total of 4 models listed which are as yet not released. However, I betcha there are some other ones too that haven't been mentioned, since there should probably be a total of 6-8 model numbers to account for the iPad Pro 11" and iPad Pro 12.9" (as in 3 to 4 models per size of iPad Pro).

I guess the other possibility is that all the cellular models have a global 5G chipset, meaning they would only need two models per size.

And the last point is that they are all listed to be running iOS 13, so their release would likely be before October.

At the moment, only the vanilla iPad is on an out of date CPU - the A10 in the 10.2" iPad 7th generation but that only got refreshed in September.

I can't see why they would refresh that after 6 months but the CPU they chose does seen seriously behind the times when the iPhone 7 is not sold in Apple stores any more and the AppleTV is due an imminent update from the A10 CPU in the 5th generation device.

The iPad mini 5th generation was refreshed in March 2019 but comes with the A12.

The iPad Air 10.5" 3rd Gen comes with A12 and was also released in March 2019.

Finally, you have iPad Pro 11" (October 2018, A12X) and 12.9" (October 2018, A12X).

Logically, the Pros could be updated now with A13X. The Air would be a tenuous upgrade due to recency but both the Air and the Mini would have to be updated at the same time to the A13 if they were going across the board.

A2228 is 11 inch iPad Pro. A2229 is 12.9 iPad Pro. I think both of these iPads are next gen and they are supposed to release this year. I got this info from a source online.

I think it will be the normal iPad, would Apple really announce the iPad Pro's via a press release when they are rumoured to have the 3 camera system and a time of flight sensor? i'm not sure they would.
