My iPhone 8 Plus has become frozen and it appears as if there is a bug in the new update. I have tried to soft reset the phone, but it does not fix the issue. My phone has a passcode on it, but whenever I push the home button, whether with my touch ID finger or any other finger, it pulls up the home screen and completely overrides the passcode for no apparent reason. I tried to plug up to my mac to update the iPhone, but I cannot seem to get it to update either. I might be left with having to completely reset it, but I figured I would start a thread because I cannot find anything on the internet about it, but I have multiple friends here in town that are experiencing the same type of issue after the update. Thank You!

Do a full restore using iTunes and then after you’re sure everything works normally restore using your backup...
I do not have a backup on file and I am currently on Mac OS Catalina, so iTunes is not installed. I plug it into my computer and it recognizes it and asks "trust this iPhone?" and then requests that I also verify on the phone as well. The notification appears on the phone, but I cannot click it because the touch is messed up. Overall, not a good situation.
