Hi guys,

I used to LOVE my Apple watch 3. Yet, after upgradeing to watchOS 5 (and upgrading my iPhone 7 to iOS 12) there are number of problems. Problems didn't dissapear after restarting, unpairing and pairing again. :( I have tried everything Apple support suggested - no success.

1. Activity app is dead. It doesn't work. Rings don't move. Also reminder to stand up is not working.

2. Waking watch by raising your wrist doesn't work.

3. Siri opens, but doesn't work. It just shows "What can I do for you" (for some reason - no sound, even if sound works with other applications). After the command the haptics go "rrrr" and that's it, nothing is happening.

4. Checking Heart rate app doesn't work. Little red heart icon keeps spinning forever, and nothing is really happening.

I tried everything, and lost my hope already. Does anyone have a clue? I would see countless posts with similar questions, and, seemingly, no answers. Isn't Apple stable anymore? :( Or I still don't get something?

I would be happy with any help.

I think you have a hardware issue. Likely with the Watch.

Are you setting it up as new when unpairing and pairing?

If not, I would unpair it, and set it up as new when you pair it. Just make sure you have "Health" turned on in iCloud sync to keep your health data, activity, and achievements from the Watch.

Thanks for replies!

Is it possible?. The problems started right after a software upgrade. And the rest apps (calling, messages, audio, time, alarm, etc.) are working perfectly...

Yep, unpaired and paired it two times. First time - from the backup; second time - as new. It made no difference ;-/

I hate to say that I agree it could be hardware.

If you turn your phone off, is the watch connecting via wifi and showing you the cloud icon in control center?

Thanks,

I turned iPhone off, and turned wi-fi on watch. This is what I see :)
