Unsupported PB Superdrive Firmware

Works for me, on my 12". I am burning a dvd at 2x as I type, and tried a dvd-rw just to see if it would take it which it did. Also I have a kensington usb fly fan on my 12" just to make sure it stays cool. Anyone used this fan? It works like a charm so far (when plugged in...haven't seen how fast it will drain the battery yet) Thanks for the firmware update, I have been dying to burn at 2x, it saves me about 1/2 and hour for each burn.

I have a targus cool pad. I'd like to get two or three 20 mm PC case fans and mount them on it somehow by using USB to power it. Off topic, does anyone know how I could take apart a USB cable and pin it out so these fans would work?

That would just be supercool.

Just in case you guys are wondering, I've come up with a way to patch the original flasher to allow the drive to be downgraded back to the original firmware (assumign you had a 12/15" pb, if you have a 17" it will really be a downgrade .

Even better, but I doubt I'll be going back. Even though I burned a DVD tonight that took 30 minutes (18 minutes long).
