yesss absinthe 2.0.4 is the latest! Or redsn0w 0.9.14b2 if you're used to redsn0w, but absinthe is done with one click 😀

Awe man seriously? You've had a 4S since October and you've been waiting for a jailbreak? That sucks bro cause there have been two jailbreaks so far for the 4S. The first one came out at the end of January for iOS 5.0.1 and then the second one came out I think on May 25. Both were called Absinthe.
Go to this link and it has step by step instructions on how to jailbreak and also has a link to download the official Absinthe program. Make sure you back up your phone first just in case anything goes wrong.

Or if you don't have any luck with absinthe, you can use the latest redsn0w (which can be downloaded from the iphone dev team's website) which is basically the same process on the 4S.
If you have issues jailbreaking you might have to install a fresh copy of 5.1.1 and set up your phone as new. The first time I ran absinthe on my 4S on 5.1.1, I actually had previously updated to 5.1.1 via the built in OTA update and I didn't have any problems. Since then, I restored a fresh 5.1.1 on my phone set up as new and rejailbroke using redsn0w. My point is, both ways worked fine for me. I feel my phone runs a little better after the second time i jailbroke it because I installed that fresh iOS as new. To each his own. Let us know if you have any questions or problems. There's also a ton of threads filled with quality information regarding this jailbreak.
I have had my jailbroken on 5.1,1 but had "PUSH" issues i.e my email etc didn't push at all I rely on this so did a complete wipe back to normal with no jailbrake, has any one else had this issue I want to jailbrake again but not if I haven't got push!

I've never had that issue on the 4S on 5.1.1. I use push and never had an issue with it. It might have been a glitch. I would assume its safe for you to try the jailbreak again. Did you use absinthe the first time? If so, maybe this time you could try redsn0w. Right now my current jailbreak was done with redsn0w and I have no issues whatsoever.
I have done a complete data erase and jailbroken from a fresh now my "PUSH" works just fine now!
Must of been a glitch and just a bit a bad luck!
