I restarted after installing an update and I found the following entries in my console under the "console messages" tab:

16/10/2011 20:35:59 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.familycontrols) Path monitoring failed on "/Library/Application Support/Apple/ParentalControls/ALRHelperJobs": No such file or directory

Can anyone help me understand and remove these entries?

I did a little detective work and discovered that /Library/Application Support/Apple/ was entirely empty, is this normal?

That folder shouldn't be empty, but it doesn't look like there's anything horrifically important in it (e.g. a lot of stationery).

The folder referenced in your error logs is empty on my machine. I imagine if you simply create the folder(s) specified and then repair permissions, your errors will go away.

I tried that, and the console messages have gone, however it still takes a long time to reboot
