Unusual problem

Hi Guys
I have a MacBook Pro and Sony HDR-HC# HDV Movie camera. OS is Mountain Lion but problem occured using Lion also.

Problem is as follows: I have imported 32 minutes of the tape into iMovie (latest). The remainder will play on the camera but not on the Macbook and thius cannot be imported. The tape DOES have a small section between clips which is blank and probably doesn't have a timeline.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes your tape will stop. Close your iMovie and wind your tape to the part and then re-open iMovie.
Give that a go.
