Greetings! I'm new here but looking forward to learning more about all things Mac. I have been using Macs for many years and would say I am a relatively confident user but I would not classify myself as an expert!

I would be grateful for help with the following. I'm running macOS High Sierra on my MacBook Air. I'm not sure how it happened but a new Untitled volume has been created - presumably something I did by mistake. I have tried to delete this with Disk Utility but when I use Erase, Disk Utility appears to erase the volume and then immediately recreate it. Please see photo attached for some basic info on the "Untitled" volume and my "Macintosh HD" volume in case it helps. How can I safely delete the unwanted "Untitled volume"? Thanks!

Select it in Disk Utility and press the "-" toolbar button.
Thank you! Obvious when you know how ... I couldn't see a "-" button at first, but I found it helpfully labelled "Volume" - just in case anyone else is looking for it!
Thanks for your help.
