Unwanted xmas ipad mini

I bought an iPad mini for someone for xmas on the 15th December, but it was unwanted.

I know it says return date on the receipt is the 29th December, but as it's completely unopened, would I be able to return it on say Monday and could I expect a full refund?

Has anyone had a similar experiences?
Im in the UK if that makes any difference.

Bring it back and see if they'll take it. They probably will

They might accept it. They advertised extended return dates for online orders although that didn't apply for in store purchases.
