There's really no incentive to sign up for this that I can see....it costs the exact same as Spotify and it sounds like it doesn't even have the student/family discount.

Not to mention that you can get 3 months of Spotify for .99.

Maybe it will have some kind of system integration to make it worthwhile...we'll see.

Apple might be able to offer up a larger catalog of music than anyone else...The Beatles, Taylor Swift, Radiohead, AC/DC etc..

Meh. I still buy my iTunes albums…. the good old fashioned way. Buy/download once, then I can keep high bit-rate MP3 or AAC copies archived forever.

I don't understand this paying to subscribe to streaming radio…. it has to be a Millenial thing. There are already tons of free online radios available no subscription required. iHeart Radio, for example, is absolutely free.

I still prefer to buy CDs and do my own rips. Streaming is for previewing and spur of the moment listening that has cut down my impulse CD buying. I still buy a lot, but that $9.99 a month saves me money over what I was spending before.

Amazing how one day iTunes Radio personal radio station just nails the mix. Then the next day WTF why are these unrelated songs playing?

I ask myself that question all the time. Some days it feels like they finally got my suggestions just right..... then the next time I get all this crud.

Except nobody wants Maps to be the default map app...

That sentiment- which is not universal by the way- was why I used it in trying to make the point. I don't think huge numbers wanted IE to replace Netscape back in the day either but Microsoft built it into the OS and gave it away. We know what happened to Netscape.

Spotify (or Pandora) will be playing the role of Netscape when iOS9 hits. I expect the same kind of outcome.

I really hope they don't kill the Beats app tomorrow...
The design and functionality is so much better than the "new" Music app.

Okay, this could work.
I'm ready to end my Spotify subscription when my 3 month for $0.99 is up.
I found a lot of new music on Spotify, but it is not easy to navigate. I'm ready for Apple Music to work; one reason being I'm sure Apple has a much more extensive music library.

I find a ton of music missing even on new releases there is sometimes a couple of songs missing from new albums. The reasons have never been explained.

If Apple can find a way to incorporate music videos into the service then they win the competition hands down. No need for Tidal. As for Spotify, Pandora, SlackerRadio and all them will be forgotten and left in the dust.

Spotify is supposed to be in beta now for their video streaming service, but they are taking far too long to roll out the actual update. If Apple can get the video streaming under their umbrella before Spotify does then they can win the subscriptions easily. Look at it this way the subscription service would be through the same company that make your phone, computer, tablet and watch. What service would you buy?

Okay I'll bite, but iTunes Radio never worked right and iTunes Match is a never-ending mess. I listen to all my music on Spotify now, except for SomaFM Drone Zone and Blue Mars Cryosleep which are streaming stations I listen to through iTunes.

What is a never ending mess about iTunes match? It works perfectly for me.

Upcoming 'Apple Music' Streaming Service to Include Three-Month Free Trial

Yeah after you give them your credit card
I really don't get what your point is. Apple isn't going to do anything with your credit card after you give it to them. Just ask the 200 million people who already have.

That ... and most people that use Apple products already have a credit card stored in their iTunes account ... and you can cancel auto-renewal in the settings. Not a big deal.

Hope they give a cheeky discount/deal to iTunes Match customers like they did with the Mobile Me customers who moved to iCloud.

I don't care what they end up launching tomorrow as far as streaming music AS LONG AS THEY DONT GET RID OF ITUNES MATCH!!! I enjoy iTunes Radio, but it's whatever. I'll never pay for a subscription service like Spotify, but I realize a lot of people like that type of thing. So, like I said, I don't care what they do or do not do tomorrow. I don't even care if they don't bundle the new service with iTunes Match, as long as they keep iTunes Match itself intact. I works amazing for me and I currently have over 13,000 songs matched.

If they'll allow family sharing on this then I'll seriously consider it. There is no way I'll pay $10 x 4 a month for any music service, ever.

Not for me. You must have a very good broadband set up and no problems with muddled iCloud / iTunes / Apple passwords, which is not the case in my situation.

I got my biggest wish: offline music. This will be a huge threat to Spotify because Apple will have deep integration in iOS. I really hope this translates to offline playlists being available for download to my apple watch. I use Spotify for the offline feature but hate that I can't pre-load my watch with songs. Really hope apple allows this with Apple Music.

Streaming is the future.

I thought it was an ok keynote considering they "apparently" dropped the Apple TV stuff last minute. Sure there was some tough spaces to fill but thought it was fine.

Some really promising enhancements coming and much welcomed.

That beats guy was really shouty but you can excuse him as I'm sure he was bricking it.
