Our guide to upcoming products provides an overview of all of the new devices that we're expecting to see in 2026 and beyond, based on the most current rumors.

The dates listed here are not always concrete, but we update this guide as new information comes out. The upcoming products guide is the go-to place to see all of the Apple products that are upcoming at a glance. For more information, make sure to click on the included links to visit our individual product roundups.

September 2026

  • iPhone 18 Pro - The iPhone 18 Pro will have a smaller Dynamic Island, and it's rumored to be getting a variable aperture Main lens that works more like a DSLR camera. The iPhone 18 Pro will use an A20 Pro chip built on Apple's 2nm process, and it's going to have Apple's C2 modem. This year's special color is rumored to be a dark cherry shade, plus there will be a blue color
  • iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra - Apple's first foldable iPhone is expected in fall 2026. It's rumored to have a 5.3-inch external display that unfolds into a 7.6-inch internal display, with a book-style design that resembles an iPad mini when it's open. The "iPhone Fold" or "iPhone Ultra" could be super thin at 4.5mm when open, and Apple is said to have used advanced display techniques and a highly durable hinge to nearly eliminate the device's crease. It will be equipped with an A20 chip, dual rear cameras, and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor built into the power button in the frame rather than Face ID. It could cost as much as $2,500.
  • Apple Watch Series 12 - The Apple Watch Series 12 isn't expected to feature any major design changes, and we haven't heard any rumors about new capabilities that might be added. It could just get a chip refresh.
  • iPad mini 8 - The next-generation version of the iPad mini is rumored to feature a major technology upgrade, with Apple set to adopt an OLED display. The iPad mini 8 could have a more water resistant design with a vibration-based speaker system that allows Apple to eliminate the device's speaker holes, plus it could use the same A20 chip that Apple plans to use in the iPhone 18 Pro.
  • HomePod mini - The HomePod mini 2 is reportedly ready to go, but it's dependent on the new version of Siri that's not ready to launch. It will feature an updated S-series chip based on the Apple Watch Series 10, and we're expecting new color options to be available. Some rumors suggest that it will use Apple's N1 networking chip, but leaked code indicates that it will not use Apple's new chip technology.
  • Home Hub - Apple is planning to launch a home hub that will support smart home products, listening to music, making video calls, getting the weather, looking things up with ‌Siri‌, displaying photos, making notes, viewing calendar events, and more. The home hub has an all-display design with an iPad-like 7-inch display. There are two models, one that's designed to be mounted to the wall and one that's got an included speaker base that looks like a HomePod mini.
  • Apple TV 4K - The Apple TV will get a new Apple-designed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip, along with a faster A17 Pro processor that will add support for console-quality games and Apple Intelligence. No design changes are expected.
  • Apple Smart Home Camera - Rumors suggest that Apple is designing its own indoor security cameras that will connect to ‌HomeKit‌ and interface with the planned home hub. It could come as soon as late 2026.

Late 2026

  • 14-inch MacBook Pro - The entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro is expected to get an M6 chip, and it'll be one of the first machines with Apple's 2-nanometer chip technology.
  • iMac - The 24-inch iMac will get an update, and it'll also probably get the new M6 chip. No design or display changes are expected, so it'll continue to look like the current model from 2024.

Late 2026 to Early 2027

  • OLED MacBook Pro - A MacBook Pro (or MacBook Ultra) with an OLED touchscreen display could launch in late 2026, but Apple might also hold it until early 2027. The higher-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook models will use M5 Pro and M5 Max chips because Apple isn't going to release M6 Pro and M6 Max chips. The OLED MacBook Pro will have an updated design.
  • Mac Studio - Apple is working on a refreshed version of the Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips, but launch timing is unclear because of RAM shortages and costs.
  • Mac mini - There are M5 Pro and M6 Mac mini models in development, but as with the Mac Studio, launch timing is not known. We could get these two machines as soon as 2026, in early 2027, or they might even be held until later in 2027.

Apple said the AirPower charging mat would come out within the year and it ended up being vaporware. Don't be surprised if the MacPro date slips to 2020.

The Mac Pro already slipped a year. I remember there was an interview with Phil Schiller in the last quarter of 2017 where he said "Apple has never been more committed to it's pro customers" (LOL, OK Phil) and to expect a new Mac Pro in the first half of 2018... well, that never happened.

Yep. Better get used to it though. It's been clear for a while now that Tim Cook's Apple doesn't see much value or future in the Mac. Fewer exciting features (in fact, they are taking things away), upgrades further and further apart, all the while giving more attention to their toys and subscription services. What a dull future.

Every year it seems we get "next year for iPhones will be super exciting!!!"

Then at the start of the year it's like "feature X for new iPhones delayed till next year"

Apple released a very minor update last year and sales fell flat, it needs something exciting this year with iPhones, please.

Is it weird that the only things I care about coming up are the iPad Mini 5 and the 7th Gen iPod Touch?

Modular Mac Pro too but I won't be in the market for one for another 5 years or so, once second hand prices drop to where I can justify the expenditure heh

We're in year three with these crappy keyboards and the pointless touch bar. Do we really think Apple's going to continue with these crippled pro notebooks for another year? I'm at a point where I've had to buy an external keyboard and mouse along with a monitor so I don't have to deal with the keyboard when I'm home.

It sure is powerful for its size. And I wouldn't want to do without mine. But its content creation abilities are severely limited. The day an iPhone enables me to do my job, (I make the art in the games you play and the Visual Effects in the movies/TV series you watch) I will stop calling it a toy. It's not really even much of a small tool for me at the moment, beyond its photography abilities. Yet even there it is limited.

Those of you waiting for the unicorn Mac Pro, it's never been easier to build a hackintosh. There are lots of golden build parts lists available. MUCH cheaper, and MUCH faster than just about anything in the current line up, in any form big or small.

Just a couple of nits. Apple announced the 2019 release date for Mac Pro in 2018, not 2017.

Also, though you say “Apple is planning to transition from Intel chips to its own custom-made Mac chips as early as 2020” as if were a fact, but it’s still just a rumor.

Actual professionals, and business/enterprise users, who make their livelihood with Mac Pro rarely steal the software they need to do their jobs. And they can lose more money in a few hours of messing around with a hackintosh than they would ever save. I can understand the attraction though.

2019 iPhones - everyone should pass on this
2019 iMacs/Pro - Many want and wait they shall
2019 iPad Pro - As long as it doesn't bend, it should be a good upgrade
2019 Display - As long as it isnt over priced..who am I kidding, of course it will be

One thing is for certain, the Tim Cook Apple Tax will be in full affect so their shareholders can be happy after that loss in the Chinese market.

Pretty credible rumor from Bloomberg and one we've also heard from multiple sources. I can tweak the wording. Just FYI, everything in here is based on rumor as mentioned up top. Thanks for the feedback and the heads up on the Mac Pro error. 🙂
