So they are going to be like AirPods, more bass, no stem, no ANC ...and no lossless audio :)

Any beats in-ear already have passive ANC to some degree so you’re most likely wrong Here. ANC is already in 2 Beats On-Ear and Over Ear headphones, while the first PowerBeats Pro did not have ANC. In this day and age any headphones not supporting ANC are very niche now.

So yes I think and hope you’re VERY wrong in this summation.

Great way to damage your hearing

LOL, dude my friend has a car stereo, I’ve been to various clubs over the years and there are a few concerts - ALL with no headphones that are VERY capable of damaging your hearing. Hyperbole.

Foam tips or gtfo.

The circular design of the speaker ports on these suggest full compatibility with standard Compli foam tips - so you’ll be in luck. They don’t look as oval as AirPods Pro.

If these support:
Siri (without a click),
ANC & Ambient,
Spatial Sound that the AirPods Pro has,

I’ll be getting these and keeping the AirPods Pro as a backup. Y? Because they come in BLACK!
Black = bye-bye noticeable ear-hair ;)

I don’t know why they even bother with this product line anymore.

So far I’m liking Beats sound much more than AirPods (any generations). The sound is so much better overall especially the newer ones after Apple acquisition.

Sold my AirPods Pro and got myself the new Powerbeats, two Solo Pros for me and the wife. Everything is great with the H1 chip. Also a hard power switch means they have way more battery life.

Money. It's a fashion brand - soon to be seen in Hip-Hop and Pop videos.
I bought the Powerbeats Pro - why? I wanted some wireless headphones that had the H1 chip (for Apple eco system integration), decent battery life (could last an 8h+ international flight) and I could work out / run in them. At the time the only other option were the Airpods - they ticked the H1 box but not the other 2.

Even now, with the APP available, I am not sure which I would choose because the APP single charge battery life is just a little too low for me but I do really like the spatial audio (and they do stay in my ears when running).

It's probably more down to functionality for most people than your assumption of fashion. If these new Beats have spatial audio, 8h+, stay in ear and ANC then I will probably take a very close look at them - regardless of the logo on the side.

Why does Apple call several of its phones "Studio"? Are they suppose to be ideal for recording and mixing in a studio environment? Most users who record and mix music will state the various "Studio" Apple phones are not great for recording and mixing.
same reason they’ve called other products “pro.” just a subtle nudge to help the buyer acknowledge/ justify the superiority and bump in price over the plebeian, consumer model: “hey, i’m using the equipment that the professionals use.”

The earbuds are small. Like your studio apartment. 😁

Yep that's true!!

There has been a good number of rumors about a different-looking AirPods Pro 2 for several months from usual "rumor" sources--Jon Prosser, Mark Gurman, Ming-Chi Kuo, and so on. Is is possible what they were surmising to be AirPods Pro 2 was actually referring to the Beats Studio Buds instead?

If these have ANC/Transparency, Spatial Audio, some form of Lossless support, better bass, and better sound than the AirPods Pro--I will be getting one. I know that's a lot to ask, but those black ones look too nice to pass up. AirPods Pro have been the most convenient electronics purchase I ever made in my life and these look like they're on the same path.

Easy to expect all of those, other than lossless support and the sound being better will most likely be purely subjective.

Don’t get your hopes up for ‘lossless’ support on wireless bluetooth earbuds like these. It shouldn’t affect your purchase decision because lossless on wireless earbuds would make no difference at all anyway.

I have a feeling that was unrestricted too early but I did watch it (before it was locked down).

Shame as I had mildly high hopes for these. I like my Powerbeats Pro but bought my wife some APP and loved the spatial audio and ANC. Was hoping these Buds would be have all those features (which they do) yet with improved audio quality.. which they don't.

Anyone else slightly concerned/hopeful Apple may find a way of lossless over wireless? Don't want to spring for some new headphones only for Apple to blow us all away a month later with some truly innovative headphones.

I think the market now carries a lot of options (including these) in the earbuds section

It now just comes to what one likes and can afford

I would not waste too much time being critical should they be not suitable for me
