Hello,

I use Snow Leopards Built in web sharing feature to host a simple web server. Seeing as it uses Apache2, my companies security team has told me that the version it uses, is out of date and must be updated or I risk my IP being blocked. I checked for any new Apple updates, but there was none. What is the process to update Apache? Do I have to wait for Apple to release a new update? Is there a way I can do it myself and not break the functionality of web sharing?

Thanks everyone for any help you can provide,

Gary

You'd have to download the binaries and compile it yourself. Do not know if this would break "Websharing" in the gui but I believe "Websharing" is just a button to turn Apache on or off.
Apple rarely updates Apache and when they do they will make no mention of it. Awesome, huh?
