Update for Carrier settings?

i just plugged in my iPhone and it said there was update for my carrier settings or something simillar to that. Im wondering what does this do/mean?
 
It means to please search the forums because this has been discussed to death. :)

Seriously, who doesn't plug their iPhone into their computer every day to charge? Why are we still getting threads about this a week and a half later?!
 
sorry guys. and i don't usually plug my iphone into computer, but i was added my new songs.

I don't charge my iPhone with my MacBook.....

Because it's easier and more convenient to charge with a wall charger or clock dock.
