Hey guys, im new here and i hope u guys can help me out with this one.
I do have a Jailbroken iphone 5S right now with iOS 7.1.2

Now im missing out on all the 8.4 tweaks going around and i really want to update my iphone to 8.4
The problem is just, how? Itunes and my iphone want to update directly to 8.4.1 but from what i know theres no jailbrwak for this one.

So is there anyway in can update to 8.4 and not to 8.4.1 ?
or should i stay on 7.1.2 until a new jailbreak comes out?

No, you can only update to iOS 8.4.1 at this time. iOS 8.4 is no longer being signed by Apple so you cannot update to it. If you want to stay jailbroken, you have to stay where you are now.

You missed the signing window. As stated - you're stuck if you want to keep your jailbreak.

You can't upgrade to 8.4 as has been stated.

But as a fellow iPhone 5S user on iOS 7.1.2, you couldn't pay me to upgrade. I'm never upgrading this phone. The tweaks can't be THAT much better on 8.4... what am I missing?

7.1.2 means BiteSMS still works.

That alone is worth staying on 7.

I'd just about kill to have my iPhone 5 back on iOS 6 though.

I used bite for a while on my iOS 7, but I prefer Auki. Been using that for at least a year or so now. Maybe almost 2, don't remember when it was released, but I was in that room where surenix announced it and downloaded it right then =P.

I just personally don't see a reason to upgrade. My phone took a long time to get how I like it. And everything works and it rarely crashes. It would take forever to re-get what I have in iOS 8, and some of the stuff may not even be iOS 8 compatible =

I had everything, and I mean everything, dialed in just right on my iPhone 5 with iOS 6 and it was working very, very well. Then I had a battery swell and that was the end of iOS 6 because the replacement was iOS 7.

If I could get that back I would. I had zero need to update from iOS 6 and every app I needed functioned just fine.

Now of course I have a 6+ so it's iOS 8 only (at the moment).

See my sig. Seriously, there is NOTHING that would compel me to upgrade.

How did you downgrade an iPhone 4S on iOS 8? I didn't think that was possible. Does that mean on my 5S I can downgrade from 7.1.2 to 7.0.6? I still miss some of the capability for theming that 7.0.6 offered over 7.1.2...

He'll probably give you a link to it, but it's a new process and right now it's only the 4s.

And you still need to have saved blobs for the version you want to downgrade to.
