It may just be me, but I really don't like the logo against a dark background. The white outline just throws me and makes it seem pixelated. Does it bug anyone else?
 
Maybe just you. On most monitors above 72dpi, it looks very smooth. And on older monitors, it's anti-aliased.

What sort of update did you have in mind?

Not sure if that shows correctly, but the white around the edge just doesn't seem right. I'm no designer, it just looks kind of funky to me. Again, it could just be me. I wonder if there would be a way to still have it outlined but not as intense - kind of like the favicon on Safari (it doesn't have a white outline). Maybe a darker grey that's like 20% lighter than the dark mode gray?
