Update iTunes?

I have jb 4 & 4s and definetly know not to update my phone but iTunes asked to update on my Mac. Could updating iTunes cause any problem with syncing my jb phones?

I'm on 10.7.3 and I updated to iTunes 10.6 with no problems. Everything seems to work well, iPad 2, and iPhone 4 both jailbroken are good.

Ok thanks read somewhere that it possibly could cause conflicts.
