I have a Mac Pro 13"
and I want to update it to a 10.7.2 version
and my current version is 10.6.8
it wont update in any way
how can I do that?
I tried the mac osx install app
and it didn't work

Repair you hard drive first. Boot with the 10.6.x disk and then when the install starts use the menu items to find Disk Utility. Use that to repair your startup disk and Repair Permission. Then try the install again.
 
One reason that message might appear is if you borrowed the install app from someone else. You're not going to get that to work.
