Hi,

my problem is as followes:
I have a MacBook Pro (Core2Duo...) which is on Tiger; last week my brother boght a brand new MacBook which came with Leopard.
My idea now was to use my brother's installer CD to upgrade the MBP to Leopard. 😕
Yesterday I happend to stop at my local Apple dealer, who said that this isn't possible due to missing drivers, though they don't use Leopard yet. I'm not absolutley sure whether or not they just tried to sell my another copy of Leopard.

Has anybody an idea if I can use my the "MB Leopard" to update my MBP?
(For a student the 100€ still make a difference).

I appreciate your help very much!

yours
patrick

It's illegal to do what you are suggesting. The copy of Leopard is licensed for use on the machine it came with only.

...ups, didn't think of that (kind of a quite simple solution).
Just ordered my copy of Leopard at the Online-Store 😱

thanks
