Mine appears to have updated with new watch faces and Time Travel but when checking for software updates, I get: 'watchOS 1.0.1 Your software is up to date'

Oh Apple ::smh::

Will do, as soon as all of the everything has restored - it will take a while.

And with that, it finished. Downgrading to 9.0 release made the 2.0 WatchOS update show instantly, so my theory remains that it is not available on 9.1 beta.

how did you downgrade?

I already had the firmware file on disk after upgrading my wife's phone from 8.4.1 earlier today, so I alt-clicked on the restore button and picked that. Getting my 9.1 backup accepted was a matter of editing Info.plist in the backup folder so the version string was 9.0 and not 9.1. YMMV.

dammit. i need to downgrade to ios9. someone post instructions that are easy to follow please. ios forums are confusing as hell

had to close out the Apple Watch app to get it to finally see the 2.0 update.
Well I'm on 9.1 and the update was visible. I downloaded it and it spent hours verifying. Now is won't see the update anymore. NICE TO KNOW IT"S WELL TESTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've seen at least two people with bricked watches too.

I rebooted the phone, no change. I had to remove the watch from the charger and put it on before the phone would acknowledge the update again. I think its' the communication with the watch that's causing thew issue. It's preparing again and then on to verify. We'll see how this one goes........................

UPDATE. After the preparing it posted a message to the screen saying watch must be on the charger. Place watch on charger and it's back to verifying. at least I know it's communicating with the watch. AT LAST, now installing.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, here's my summary: I'm on 9.1B1. I rebooted both the watch and the phone. I was not seeing the update but when I put the watch on my wrist and tried the update showed up. I allowed it to do the preparing and then i paused to allow me to put the watch back on the charger. It then verified and stared the install. It seems to be the communication with the watch that caused the verify to hang.

Update still not showing up for me... I have tried resetting both watch and phone and it's still not working... the watch app is saying I have the Latest version 1.0.1 any other suggestions.

Check under Watch App - General-> About. I'm willing to bet Version 2.0 shows up there. I had the same thing happen to me a few hours ago after an hour of running the update software and found that final screen confusing and posted about it. I was like did it download and install or not?? The General/About/Version said it did and I have the new features on the watch.

BTW I was updating from 1.0.1. No betas.
