And you will no longer be able to downgrade to iOS 17.7 and iOS 18.0 any minute now... Or maybe by next week...

"Touch screen may be temporarily unresponsive in certain circumstances on iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models"

Not just iPhones. The iPad had been misbehaving too. It's gotten better but Safari is still misbehaving (as in locking up, not showing the tab bar, not scaling images to fit on screen) with 18.0.1.

Yesterday I was scrolling through a long PDF and the app crashed all the way back to the home screen.

It didn’t fix the touch screen issues and overall unresponsiveness on iPhone 16 Pro Max for me and my wife.
It just feels like an input lag. And there is a touch screen dead zone in the area close to new camera control button.

My iPhone 13 is smoother after this update. I think I was being affected by the memory management performance issues.

The new update didn’t fix the touch screen issues, lag or camera bugs for me and my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Camera will freeze during video recording, stop a video recording long before I want to stop it and the camera app will sometimes close unexpectedly. My 16 Pro Max has also completely shut off and become unresponsive twice since I’ve had it. It will eventually reboot, but seems to have a mind of its own. Never had any issues with my 15 Pro Max. Beyond frustrated.

The image conversion bug is still there: 48MP ProRAW to 48MP HEIC/JPG batch conversion creates only 12MP files: Quick Actions>Convert Image>File Format: HEIF>Image Size: Original

I appreciate the additional update information. I think Apple should provide the information in the update notes.
They do provide that info.

What about those complaining that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will not turn on and even doing a force restore takes longer than usual and does not work all the time.

Well that’s a dilemma that may be a result of having apps that shouldn’t be on there. Who knows.

I’ve had this issue twice. Phone completely shut off and was unresponsive. Couldn’t turn it back on at all. Hours later, it finally booted back up.
