Update on White iPhone availability in UK

Just read this, not sure if posted anywhere else. Basically the White iPhone 4 will be available before the years end, and not end of year as previously reported. Obviously this is not that exciting news, but still, its news.

White models of Apple’s new iPhone® 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.

It's an Orange story, not an Apple one...

This is a story about Orange correcting, or clarifying, a statement that they sent to potential iP4 purchasers. It's not about Apple clarifying when the white ones will be available.

Orange basically told people who hadn't yet bought a black one that they wouldn't get white before the end of the year, so why not get black now.

Clearly just a marketing department pushing the boundaries a bit, in order to increase short term sales, presumably because they had some stock coming in.
