So tomorrow <3 Apple...

Are you going to just update leaving everything in tack how you like it. Or! Are you going to do a clean install?

**edit:I should have put clean install in the poll not full install** *shrug*

Normally, I would do a clean install. But because Lion is DL only, Ima do an update.

jw, idt the MAS installer even offers a clean install. It does create a recov partion tho, which you could use to re-install lion (this time clean).

How many people are actually gonna go through all that tho?

Is it still considered a clean install if you then migrate your apps over from your previous install? I usually do this on clean installs to save time.

Just gonna upgrade. Don't really have the time to do a full clean install. I just want to turn my Mac on and for all my files to be there...

Clean install for me; my Snow Leopard install has been getting a bit bloated, and there's nothing worse than an OS upgrade that's made pointless by all the flotsam from the old OS :p

How can you do a clean install if Lion is download only and install over SL?

Do you build a bootable DVD from the installer?

I use a SSD so I don't want a space hogging recovery partition. Thus clean install.

Still undecided. With Windows I don't believe in upgrading at all and always go with fresh installs, but I think with OS X it should be alright...

Leaning towards an upgrade at first and seeing how it performs. If it's sluggish or at all bloated I'll do a clean install.

Im still lost how are we suppose to do a clean install if there is no hard copy of this software? Is there a way to download lion and save it to an External HD?

Not a clean install because like many, not sure how to do it. However, may wipe slate clean, install SL then Lion.
