As usual, I'm confused. I'm a new Mac user (three months) and I'm still trying to get used to the way the system operates as opposed to PC. My immediate problem deals with an effort to update Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, which i installed about a week ago.

When I clicked the "updates" link in PSE 6 (which opens without hesitation), I saw there was an update available for the Camera RAW section. This really is not relevant but the response is what puzzles me.

I downloaded the update but it would not install. I get a message saying:

"Unable to locate the product to be updated ... Adobe Camera Raw 4.6 update failed to install."

I don't understand the announced failure to locate the product. If someone can explian this to me, I'd be grateful. Many thanks.

It is set to look for a specific file in a specific place, if it is not there, it cannot find the product.

Did you move your PSE app? Or install it into a different location?

Good point. It's in the applications folder, which seems to me to be the first place it would look. However, but I'll try to put an alias in the pictures folder to see if that works. I can't think of where else it might be looking.

Many thanks.
